Chongqing issues major special management measures: Maximum support of 30 million yuan to promote key technological breakthroughs in industries.

Recently, the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau and the Chongqing Finance Bureau issued the "Management Measures for Major Special Projects in Chongqing's Technological Innovation and Application Development." According to the Measures, the financial support for a single major special project shall not be less than 10 million yuan, with a maximum support of 30 million yuan; the financial support intensity for a single key special project shall not be less than 1 million yuan, and not more than 10 million yuan. The major special projects will be coordinated and led by the Municipal Party Committee's Science and Technology Committee, with the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the Municipal Finance Bureau jointly organizing and implementing them. The focus will be on organized scientific research on key technologies demanded by Chongqing's key industries, emerging industries, and future industries that are being cultivated and developed. The initiative will strengthen coordination and cooperation, fully leverage the role of enterprises, promote in-depth integration of scientific and industrial innovations, support breakthroughs in key technologies and the production of landmark achievements, accelerate the formation of core competitiveness in key areas, and support the development of new productivity with high-quality scientific and technological supply.
