Hunan: Some pharmacies suspected of illegally using personal medical insurance account funds, the medical insurance bureau intervenes and investigates.

Recently, some pharmacies such as Laobaixing Pharmacy and Yangtianhe were exposed to have suspected violations in the use of medical insurance funds. On the 22nd, the reporter learned from the Hunan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau that the bureau had urgently summoned Laobaixing Pharmacy, Yangtianhe, and other pharmacies to supervise the on-site inspections conducted by relevant cities and counties. According to preliminary investigations by the medical insurance department, the 10 pharmacies involved have issues such as swapping cards and settling payments through proxy cards, involving a total expenditure of 3267.14 yuan from the personal accounts of medical insurance workers. However, there have been no findings of pharmacies violating the use of medical insurance funds. The relevant person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau introduced that Hunan will comprehensively launch special inspections and governance, incorporating the issue of pharmacy personal account card swiping into the province's highlighted problem rectification "blitz". They will also initiate special flying inspections across the province, ensuring that all branches of the pharmacies involved are supervised and that the key risk stores are inspected on site with complete coverage. At the same time, Hunan will continue to improve the long-term institutional mechanism, intensify and implement normalized supervision throughout the entire chain, focus on key points in the fund utilization of designated pharmacies, conduct normalized risk assessment, special rectification, and closed-loop improvement, strengthen the responsibilities of medical institutions, and promote the normalization, standardization, and long-term effectiveness of supervision.
