Journalists learned from the special press conference "Starting the '15th Five-Year Plan' - Writing a New Chapter of Chinese-style Modernization in Inner Mongolia on a New Journey" held on the 21st that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Inner Mongolia, as one of the national calculation power hub nodes and data center clusters, will shift from "resource output" to "empowering calculation power", turning advantages in wind and solar energy into computational advantages, striving to build a national important green computational power guarantee base and a "green computational power + AI" application base. Bao Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and Chairman of the Autonomous Region People's Government, introduced that Inner Mongolia's development of green computational power has green advantages of collaboration between computation and electricity, computational scale advantages, and network accessibility for millisecond-level experience. Today, Inner Mongolia stands at a new peak of AI computational power, and in the future, it will turn Inner Mongolia's wind and solar energy into electricity, computation power, and digital "hard currency" worth several times or tens of times more, turning the abundant and cheap clean energy into valuable assets. It is reported that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Inner Mongolia will expand its computational scale, support the high-quality development of the Hohhot and Linhe data center cluster, coordinate the collaborative development of computational power between Hohhot and Ulanqab, implement a number of super-large-scale smart computation center projects, promote the entry of Beijing's computational power into Inner Mongolia, and make Inner Mongolia's computational power "accessible, fast, and of higher quality". Additionally, it will improve the synergy between computation and electricity, layout a number of zero-carbon data center parks, accelerate the construction of green electricity supply, source-grid-load-storage integration, and other basic infrastructure. At the same time, it will optimize the industrial ecosystem, with the autonomous region digital industry park as the core carrier, construct a national data industry aggregation zone of high standards, cultivate advanced manufacturing industries in green computational power, accurately attract upstream and downstream enterprises such as computational and electrical equipment, computation power operation services, artificial intelligence reasoning training, data labeling, and data trading, and build a complete industry chain ecosystem.
