TD Bank credit card customers will be the first in Canada to use virtual card numbers through Google.

The Bank of Montreal (BMO) will be Canada's first financial institution to allow customers to use virtual card numbers through Google as an online shopping payment option. Virtual card numbers will be available for BMO Visa credit card holders who shop using the Google Chrome browser and make in-app purchases, providing a more secure one-touch payment method. The user's browser or app will replace the actual credit card number with a unique virtual card number, which can help conceal personal payment card details from merchants and prevent fraud.
