J.P. Morgan raises S&P 500 index target value due to the continued strong performance of the artificial intelligence sector.
Strategists from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. stated that the enthusiasm for artificial intelligence technology is once again on the rise, which will help drive the U.S. stock market to levels higher than expected this year. The team led by Dubravko Lakos-Bujas has raised the annual target for the S&P 500 index to 7600 points, after lowering it to 7200 points just last month, citing geopolitical risks at the time. On Monday, the S&P 500 index closed at 7109 points, indicating a potential 7% increase. These strategists' optimistic forecasts are based on a more positive outlook for the technology and artificial intelligence sectors, believing that the industry will boost corporate profits and ease concerns stemming from the ongoing tensions with Iran.
