Fitch Ratings' Director of Corporate Ratings in the Asia-Pacific region, Wang Ying, stated at an event held in Beijing on Tuesday that concerns over energy security triggered by the US-Iran conflict, as well as the accelerated deployment of AI data centers globally, will collectively drive the continued rapid growth of global energy storage demand. Top battery cell manufacturers will be the more direct beneficiaries, as they are more likely to benefit from demand expansion and new price hikes due to their technological, cost, and production capacity advantages; while downstream system integrators still face significant pressure in the short term.
