Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: conducting policy research and standard setting for collaborative development of algorithm and electricity sector.

On April 21st, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the development of industry and information technology in the first quarter of 2026. Zhang Yunming, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that in recent years, computing power infrastructure has become a key foundation driving the development of artificial intelligence. Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is conducting research on policies and standards for coordination between computing and electricity.
