Yesterday, the China Automotive Technology Research Center released the 2027 edition of the China New Car Evaluation Regulations, with a focus on "new energy" and "intelligence" testing. In addition to the traditional safety crash tests, the 2027 edition of the China New Car Evaluation Regulations has added multiple tests related to new energy electric safety, passenger protection, and other aspects. For example, in the testing of new energy vehicle hazardous conditions, a side column impact test was set up to examine the electric safety performance of new energy vehicles after collision with the "weak side" and rigid column. In addition, tests such as the scraping bottom test of electric vehicles have been added. In the field of intelligent driving safety, the new regulations have added tests for new advanced driving assistance systems such as the acceleration pedal anti-misstep system and automatic emergency steering. Furthermore, tests for in-vehicle information interaction systems have also been added.
