Italian national grid operator Terna will hold a special board meeting in the coming days to discuss the departure compensation of outgoing CEO Luigi Ferraris. Ferraris has been nominated by the Italian government as the new chairman of Eni Group, but she is unwilling to give up the 7.3 million departure compensation from Terna. The Terna board held a meeting on Monday, but did not discuss her case. The Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance stated on Sunday that it opposes state-owned holding companies paying departure compensation to executives who have completed their term or resigned voluntarily.
