Tencent invests in Kazakhstani financial technology company Kaspi.kz.

On April 20, the financial technology company Kaspi.kz in Kazakhstan announced that Tencent, along with the company's management and long-term investors, had completed the acquisition of 6 million American Depositary Receipts from the Balancer Financial Technology Venture Capital Fund. Kaspi stated that besides Tencent, other buyers included the financial technology investment company Spice Expeditions, as well as donation funds from universities such as the University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
