American rare earth company plans to acquire Brazilian rare earth developer Serabi Mine for 2.8 billion US dollars.
On April 20, the American rare earth company announced that it has signed a final agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Brazilian rare earth developer Serra Verde, which owns the Pela Ema rare earth mine and processing plant in Gois state, Brazil. The consideration for this transaction includes $300 million in cash and 126.849 million newly issued shares of USAR common stock; based on USAR's closing price of $19.95 per share on April 17, 2026, the transaction values Serra Verde at approximately $2.8 billion. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
