Iranian Foreign Ministry: Normalization of navigation in the Hormuz Strait is currently not possible.
On the 20th local time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bagaei stated that the root cause of the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz is the military aggression of the United States and Israel, and they should directly bear the consequences of the current situation. Bagaei stated that, considering the repeated violations of ceasefire agreements by the United States and the threats posed to Iranian ports and ships, the current situation is still considered a "state of war", so unilateral normalization of navigation is impossible; especially as existing security concerns have led to insurers and cargo owners abandoning passage through the area. Bagaei pointed out that Iran has put the drafting of a new security agreement on the agenda, aimed at ensuring long-term security in the future and preventing aggressive actions from happening again.
