CATL plans to release the fifth-generation lithium iron phosphate full-scene battery in mid-May.
Reporters learned from Guoxuan High-tech that the company plans to launch the fifth generation of lithium iron phosphate batteries in mid-May, which can cover a wide range of applications including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, energy storage, and low-altitude aircraft. It is reported that the energy density of the new fifth-generation lithium iron phosphate battery can reach up to 205Wh/kg; the super-fast charging version can charge from 10% to 70% SOC in less than 4.5 minutes; the ultra-long life version can support over 10 years of extended warranty for vehicle use and over 30 years of ultra-long life for energy storage applications. Guoxuan High-tech will hold the 2026 Global Technology Conference in Hefei on May 16, where they will officially release this technology.
