"Once-in-160,000-years" comet welcomes the best time for observation.

Recently, the long-period comet C/2025R3 from the edge of the solar system entered the optimal observation window. The R3 comet was discovered in September 2025, with a return period of about 160,000 years, making it a long-period comet. In the early morning of April 19th, in the West Lake of Dali, Yunnan, astronomical enthusiasts recorded its rising scene, with a clear visible comet head and a long and obvious comet tail. 90 minutes before sunrise, the comet was low in the eastern sky, visible to the naked eye.
