Shandong's early warning facilities for agricultural wind disasters and risks of winter wheat lodging.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Shandong Province, Shandong Climate Center, and Shandong Agricultural Technology Extension Center, a joint warning for facility agriculture wind disasters and winter wheat lodging risks has been issued. It is expected that from April 19 to 20, a strong convective weather process will occur in Shandong Province from west to east, accompanied by thunderstorms with local wind gusts of 7-9 on the Beaufort scale and locally exceeding 10. In parts of Luning and Luchzhong, precipitation could reach over 20 millimeters. As a result, the risk level of wind disasters in facility agriculture in northwestern Shandong, mountainous areas in central Shandong, and the peninsula region is high, while the risk level in other areas is relatively high; in most of Luning, western parts of Lufen, and northwestern parts of Lujan, there is a high risk of winter wheat lodging. It is recommended that each region implement targeted measures to prevent lodging of winter wheat, and take early actions to strengthen wind resistance in agricultural facilities to ensure agricultural production safety.
