Breaking human records: Engineer responds to the secret of robots winning the half-marathon.
50 minutes and 26 seconds! On the morning of April 19th, near the finish line of the Beijing Yizhuang humanoid robot half marathon, the crowd's eyes closely followed a red figure. In the end, the Qitian Dasheng team composed of the Honor "Lightning" robot won the championship. This result also surpassed the human record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds set by Ugandan star Kipchilimo in March of this year. On that day, multiple robot teams composed of different technical solutions under the glory banner swept the top three in the competition. After the competition, the human representative of the championship team - a test development engineer, wiped the sweat from his forehead in the crowded crowd, while being interviewed, and shared the story behind the championship.
The Honor robot test development engineer told reporters that from project approval to participation, the entire iteration cycle of the robot was only about a year. Due to the presence of many excellent robot manufacturers in China, the Honor team was not completely clear about the status of their opponents at the beginning of the competition prep, and could only go all out in the competition. When asked about the secret to winning the championship, he said that they referenced outstanding human athletes in terms of appearance, and that the liquid cooling system was a core technology in this competition.
