Insider: Buffett's successor Abel is more hands-on.
According to reports, an employee asked whether Gregg Abel would move the headquarters of Berkshire Hathaway out of Omaha, Nebraska - which has been the company's headquarters for decades under Warren Buffett's leadership. Abel gave a negative reply, stating that the company will not be relocating. Sources revealed that compared to Buffett's more hands-off management style, Abel is more hands-on. He is taking a fresh and more strict approach to reviewing Berkshire's various businesses and stock portfolio. Sources said that Abel will intervene strongly in underperforming companies, stocks in the portfolio, and the executive team. Abel mentioned in an interview that "Warren, Charlie, and I may have different styles and approaches, but the core values on which our company is based remain consistent, and we continue to operate the business on those principles."
