33-hour direct north-south Beijing to Guangzhou freight train service has become an efficient interregional logistics corridor.

Journalists learned from the China Railway Beijing Bureau that the Beijing-Guangzhou express multimodal transport train has been operating regularly for two years, with a total of 490 trains operated and 604,000 tons of goods transported. The types of goods have expanded from 20 at the beginning of operation to nearly a hundred. Yesterday, a fast multimodal transport train loaded with car parts, waterproof coatings, daily necessities, and other goods departed from the Beijing Railway Logistics Center Guangyang Freight Yard and headed to the Guangzhou Dalang Station. "Trains like this can reach speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour, with 5 trains running each week. The total transportation time is only 33 hours. After two years of operation, it has become an efficient and stable cross-regional logistics channel," said Wang Dong, head of the marketing department at the Beijing Railway Logistics Center.
