Explore the use of green electricity in Xinjiang's new energy-rich areas by government agencies.
Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture and Hami City in Xinjiang have rich scenery resources. This year, some of the direct prefecture and city government units in the two regions will be connected to the green power trading market successively, promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of public institutions and helping the local consumption of new energy. According to the power supply companies and the Office of Government Affairs in these two regions, this year Changji Prefecture and Hami City have promoted 42 direct prefecture government units and 78 city government units to conduct green electricity and green certificate trading, fully integrating green electricity into daily office work, meeting support, public services, and other core electricity usage processes. Through market trading, the expected green electricity consumption of government units in Changji Prefecture and Hami City this year is expected to reach 8 million kilowatt-hours and 30 million kilowatt-hours respectively, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 6,160 tons and 23,000 tons respectively.
