The Chinese national report received high praise from all parties at the Tenth Review Meeting of the Convention on Nuclear Safety.
On April 17th, Dong Baotong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Director of the National Nuclear Safety Administration, led the Chinese delegation to complete the review of China's national report at the tenth review meeting of the contracting parties to the "Nuclear Safety Convention" at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. China's performance in fulfilling its obligations was highly praised by the contracting parties. More than 1,000 representatives from 87 contracting parties attended the review meeting. During the national group review, the Chinese delegation comprehensively presented the situation of nuclear safety in China and the achievements in nuclear safety supervision, and candidly answered questions from contracting parties. They actively demonstrated the efforts made as a major nuclear power country to develop nuclear power with safety as a prerequisite, continuously promote the modernization of nuclear safety supervision system, optimize strategies, improve efficiency, continuously strengthen international cooperation, and strive to build a community of shared destiny for nuclear security.
