After Iran announced the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz, international aluminum prices fell sharply on Friday. Previously, this key waterway had been interrupted in shipping due to military conflicts, causing serious concerns in the market about global aluminum supply. The three-month benchmark aluminum price on the London Metal Exchange fell by about 2.6% to $3,549 per ton, hitting a low of $3,553.30 per ton during the session. The contract had reached a four-year high of $3,672 per ton in the previous trading day.
