Ding Xuexiang attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Phase IV of the Revitalization Gas Field Project and delivered a speech.

On April 17th, President Xi Jinping's special representative, member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang, and Turkmen national leader and Chairman of the People's Committee Kurban Guli Berdymukhamedov attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field project in Mary province, Turkmenistan together. In his speech, Ding Xuexiang stated that under the strategic guidance and personal promotion of the top leaders of both countries, the natural gas cooperation between China and Turkmenistan has achieved fruitful results, providing strong support for the economic and social development of both countries, benefiting the two countries and their people. The successful start of construction of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field project is a great event in deepening comprehensive cooperation between China and Turkmenistan, opening a new chapter in natural gas cooperation between the two countries, demonstrating new prospects for the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Silk Road Economic Belt strategy, and will surely promote further progress in energy cooperation between the two sides. Ding Xuexiang emphasized that the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field project carries the earnest expectations of the top leaders of both countries and the common aspirations of the two peoples. He hopes that the relevant departments and enterprises of both sides will carefully organize and scientifically carry out the project construction in a solid and orderly manner. He proposed three suggestions: first, adhere to quality as the foundation, create high-quality projects, promote craftsmanship spirit, advance construction in a high standard, and strive to build a first-class project that can stand the test of history. Second, adhere to innovation leadership, create benchmark projects, promote innovation in project management, technology, and models, create experience and provide demonstrations for the construction of major gas projects. Third, adhere to win-win cooperation, create friendship projects, strengthen technical exchanges and talent training, so that cooperation results can better benefit the people of both countries, and build another monument to enhance China-Turkmenistan friendship. Ding Xuexiang stated that China is willing to work with Turkmenistan, using major projects such as the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field as a new starting point to continuously deepen practical cooperation in various fields, promote the development of both countries and regional prosperity and stability, and jointly build a closer community of shared future between China and Turkmenistan. Ding Xuexiang and Kurban Guli Berdymukhamedov visited the oil and gas equipment exhibition together, gave instructions through video link for the onsite drilling rig to start working, and held a groundbreaking ceremony.
