English Maritime Analysis Company: Blockage in the Hormuz Strait Forces Trade Restructuring in the Gulf Region

The maritime analysis company Ward, based in the UK, released a report on April 16th stating that with the continued blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, trade in the Gulf region is accelerating restructuring through "land bridge transportation" and "port destination changes," gradually forming a new logistics network. The report suggests that factors such as rising war risk insurance rates, pressure from congested goods, congestion risks, and uncertainties in the governance of strait passage have led the current model to transition from temporary adaptation to normalized operations. Even if the regional situation stabilizes in the future, the above-mentioned logistics structure will still maintain a certain inertia in the short term.
