In 2025, the scale of Sichuan's aerospace industry reached 50 billion Yuan.
On April 17th, the National Space Administration held a press conference in Beijing for the 2026 "China Space Day". During the conference, Yang Xin, Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the General Office of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, introduced the development of the aerospace industry in Sichuan Province. Yang Xin stated that in recent years, Sichuan has regarded the aerospace industry as an important engine for the development of new quality productivity according to local conditions, and has vigorously promoted the construction of a strong aerospace province with the Western Commercial Spaceport as the carrier. By 2025, the province's aerospace industry scale will reach 50 billion RMB, with a complete aerospace industry chain including "satellite manufacturing, rocket manufacturing, measurement and control, launch sites, satellite applications and services". In the field of satellite manufacturing, full coverage of whole star design integration, core component development and other processes has been achieved. The world's first on-orbit AI computing constellation has been deployed with 12 satellites, and the largest commercial remote sensing constellation in the southwest has 14 satellites in orbit.
