Former Deputy Mayor of Dongguan City Government, Guangdong Province, Ye Baohua, has been expelled from the Communist Party and dismissed from public office.
The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the National Supervision Commission announced on April 17th that, according to the news from the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated a case review and investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal issues of Ye Baohua, former member of the Party group and deputy mayor of the Dongguan Municipal Government.
After investigation, it was found that Ye Baohua had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and missions, was disloyal and dishonest to the party, and resisted organizational investigations; violated the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, illegally accepted gifts and money, accepted banquets against regulations; breached organizational principles, did not report personal related matters as required, sought personal gain for others in cadre selection and appointment work and accepted money and goods; neglected the bottom line of discipline and law, engaged in power-money exchange, used his position for personal gain in land auctions, project contracts, etc., and illegally accepted huge amounts of money.
Ye Baohua seriously violated the party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, constituted a serious violation of duty and suspicion of bribery crimes, and did not restrain or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with serious nature and adverse effects, requiring serious treatment. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Discipline Inspection and Discipline of the Communist Party of China," "Law of the People's Republic of China on Supervision," and "Law on Administrative Punishments for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," after research and approval by the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and reporting to the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, it was decided to expel Ye Baohua from the party; the Guangdong Provincial Supervision Commission will dismiss him from public office; terminate his qualification as a delegate to the 15th Party Congress of Dongguan City; confiscate the illegal gains; and transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution, with all related assets transferred as well.
