South Korea says its oil tanker safely leaves the Red Sea.
The South Korean Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries stated that a South Korean ship loaded with crude oil from Yanbu Port in Saudi Arabia safely departed the Red Sea on Friday. This is the first time that crude oil has been transported through an alternative route since the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. South Korea has been actively seeking to utilize the Red Sea as an alternative route to the Strait of Hormuz. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is providing security for the crew and the ship, including 24-hour real-time monitoring, and has established real-time communication channels between the ministry, the ship, and the shipping company.
