Dubai inaugurates the world's first integrated aerial taxi take-off and landing site.

On the 16th, UAE Dubai announced the opening of the world's first comprehensive air taxi vertiport, marking an important step for the UAE in developing an advanced and sustainable urban transportation system. The vertiport is located near Dubai International Airport, covering an area of about 3100 square meters. It is a four-story building with two electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft dedicated platforms, as well as parking facilities, and is supported by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The project is expected to have an annual capacity to accommodate around 170,000 people, and commercial operations for air taxis are planned to begin by the end of 2026. According to the plan, by the end of 2026, four vertiports will be built including Dubai International Airport, downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Harbour.
