NDRC: A series of national special plans focusing on key areas of the "14th Five-Year Plan" are expected to be introduced one after another in the first half of this year.

On April 17, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "Starting the 'Fifteenth Five-Year Plan'", introducing relevant information on promoting high-quality economic and social development during the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period. Chen Lei, Director of the Development Strategy and Planning Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that various sectors are currently intensively formulating a number of national special plans to refine and implement the key tasks of the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan". These plans will focus on achieving the goal of socialist modernization by 2035, and will include plans in areas such as new industrialization and digital China, modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and building a beautiful China. Additionally, special plans will be formulated to align with the stage characteristics of the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan", including future industries, expanding consumption, population development, and a new energy system. Plans will also be developed with a focus on improving people's livelihoods, such as prioritizing employment, education development, national health, equalization of basic public services, and social security. Special plans will also be formulated for key groups such as disabled people. It is expected that a number of national special plans will be introduced in the first half of this year.
