China's first world's largest all-electric intelligent container ship delivered.

According to China Shipbuilding News, the first Chinese pure electric intelligent open-top container ship "Ningyuan Diankun" with a capacity of 740 TEU, independently developed and designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute under China Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. and equipped with a new electric propulsion system provided by the 704th Research Institute, was officially delivered and set sail on April 15th. The "Ningyuan Diankun" was invested and customized by Ningbo Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd., and built by Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. It has a total length of 127.8 meters, a beam of 21.6 meters, a designed draft of 6.2 meters, a container capacity of 742 TEU, a carrying weight of approximately 9600 tons, and is positioned for domestic coastal navigation. It is the first and largest pure electric container ship in China and in the world, and will operate on the Ningbo-Zhapu coastal route.
