The grassland fire at the border between Chifeng City and Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia was extinguished.

The journalist learned from relevant departments that around 12:00 on April 15, a grassland fire broke out at the junction of Xi Ujimqin Banner, Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, and Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City. After about 10 hours of concerted efforts by cadres, masses, and fire rescue teams, the fire was basically under control and the open flames were largely extinguished. This fire did not cause any casualties. It was introduced that on April 15, the wind direction at the fire scene was west wind, with wind force reaching level 5 to 6. This grassland fire was in a state of multiple concentrated outbreaks, and due to the strong wind on the scene, the fire line spread rapidly by about 10 kilometers, accompanied by a large amount of thick smoke. As of now, the firefighting team is still conducting fire monitoring at the fire scene to prevent the risk of re-ignition. The cause of the fire is still under further investigation.
