National Railway Administration: The national railway accumulated a 5.5% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic volume in the first quarter.

According to the National Railway Administration, in the first quarter, the national railways carried a total of 1.133 billion passengers, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year; and completed a passenger turnover of 4146.83 billion passenger-kilometers, an increase of 3.2% year-on-year. In March, the railways carried a total of 376 million passengers, an increase of 11.7% year-on-year; and completed a passenger turnover of 1305.82 billion passenger-kilometers, an increase of 16.5% year-on-year.
