According to multiple informed sources, in recent weeks, the startup company Anthropic, which developed Claude, has received investment offers from multiple venture capital institutions, with the highest valuation reaching up to $80 billion, more than double the most recent valuation. Startups that are highly sought after in the market often receive investment offers from investors proactively, but they are often rejected. Nevertheless, the valuation levels given by venture capital institutions still reflect the almost fanatical demand for investing in the company as Anthropic prepares for a possible IPO later this year. A spokesperson for Anthropic declined to comment. In February of this year, Anthropic completed a round of financing led by the Singapore government investment company and Coatue, with a valuation of $38 billion. This figure is less than half of the $85.2 billion valuation from the latest financing round at OpenAI last month.
