Representatives from the Israeli and Lebanese governments held direct talks in the US capital of Washington on the 14th. It is reported that Israel and Lebanon have not established diplomatic relations, and this meeting is the "first direct meeting between non-military personnel of the two countries in decades." US Secretary of State Pompeo met with delegations from both Israel and Lebanon at the State Department and attended the meeting held at the State Department.
