Goldman Sachs plans to raise at least $5 billion through a bond issuance.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Goldman Sachs Group is seeking to raise at least $5 billion through the issuance of investment grade bonds. The bonds issued by this securities firm are divided into three tranches, with maturities ranging from 4 to 8 years. The preliminary pricing for the longest-dated bond is expected to be approximately 1.25 percentage points higher than the yield on US Treasury bonds. Goldman Sachs' fixed income, currency and commodities trading revenue in the first quarter was $40.1 billion, more than $800 million lower than analysts' expectations.
