The Ministerial Conference of the Asia-Pacific Summit of the World Internet Conference will be held in 2026.
On April 13, the ministerial meeting of the Asia-Pacific Summit of the 2026 World Internet Conference was held in Hong Kong, with the theme of "Leading Change with Intelligence, Creating a New Future - Artificial Intelligence Driving High-quality Economic Development". Zhuang Rongwen, Chairman of the World Internet Conference and Director of the Chinese National Internet Information Office, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Jingtao, Deputy Director of the Chinese National Internet Information Office, and ministerial officials from more than 10 countries including Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Nicaragua, and Tonga attended the meeting.
Zhuang Rongwen stated that in the face of the rapidly developing global artificial intelligence trend, efforts should be focused on harnessing the driving and leading role of artificial intelligence, further deepening exchanges and cooperation, pooling wisdom, promoting people from different countries and regions to ride the fast train of artificial intelligence development together, ensuring equal development and utilization of information technology, and sharing the achievements of artificial intelligence development. In this regard, he put forward four suggestions: first, adhere to digital intelligence integration and cultivate and strengthen economic development momentum. Second, adhere to openness and inclusiveness, promote the sharing of technological progress achievements. Third, adhere to mutual benefits and joint responses to challenges in cyberspace. Fourth, adhere to collaborative governance and focus on deepening the governance of artificial intelligence.
