Former Jingzhou Municipal Committee Secretary Wu Jin from Hubei Province has been expelled from the Communist Party and will face further investigation for corruption.

After investigation, Wu Jin has lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and missions, been disloyal and dishonest to the party, resisted organizational checks; ignored the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, accepted invitations that may affect the fair execution of official duties, engaged in formalism and bureaucracy at work, causing a negative impact; violated organizational principles, sought benefits for others and accepted property in the selection and appointment of cadres; breached the bottom line of integrity, accepted gifts improperly, engaged in profit-making activities in violation of regulations; failed to fulfill responsibilities correctly in work related to ecological protection and governance, causing negative influence; disregarded discipline, lacking in awe, used his position for personal gain in project approvals, engineering contracts, and other areas, and illegally accepted huge amounts of money.
