The Ministry of Transport held a departmental meeting. The meeting pointed out that it is necessary to carry out a concerted effort in multimodal transportation, optimize and adjust the transportation structure, cultivate transportation logistics leading enterprises and comprehensive logistics integrators with international competitiveness, fill in the gaps in cold chain transportation, and deepen the integration of transportation logistics and industrial development. Efforts should be made to improve the efficiency of intercity commuting in urban areas, establish a long-term mechanism for maintenance and renovation of rural roads, solidly carry out special actions such as upgrading service areas on highways, improving the quality and efficiency of rural passenger and freight integration, and promoting the high-quality development of small and micro passenger car rentals, to promote the development of new consumer formats such as yachts, cruise ships, night cruise ships, and self-driving tourist roads.
