The "World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates" report released on Thursday showed that the supply and demand situation for U.S. crops remains largely unchanged, leading traders to focus instead on weather changes as farmers look to plant in areas of the country with very dry soil. Matt Zeller of StoneX said in a report, "The market continues to focus on upcoming rain in the Plains region, rather than the current dire conditions; focusing on the massive corn supply, rather than the discouraging early field work forecasts." Corn futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell by 0.3%, wheat futures fell by 0.7%, and soybean futures rose by 0.4%.
