J.P. Morgan stated in its latest research report that the Middle East conflict has led to a reduction of 2.4 million barrels per day in refining capacity in the Gulf region, with Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline losing 700,000 barrels per day in transport capacity. Analysts estimate that around 900,000 barrels per day of capacity may be restored within a few weeks; 800,000 barrels per day of capacity may take about a month to recover; and 700,000 barrels per day of capacity will require longer maintenance time, mainly involving the Sitra refinery in Bahrain and the Tehran refinery in Iran.
