The presidential election in Djibouti began on the 10th with two candidates, including the incumbent president, participating in the race. Approximately 250,000 registered voters are expected to participate in this election, and preliminary results are set to be announced on the night of the 10th or on the 11th. According to the country's constitution, the president serves a 5-year term. Djibouti is located on the western coast of the Gulf of Aden in northeastern Africa and has a population of approximately 1.15 million.
