The 139th Canton Fair has added 9 new sections, including smart wearables, for the first time.

The Ministry of Commerce held the 139th Canton Fair press conference today. It was introduced that the 139th Canton Fair will be held in three phases from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, with the total exhibition area, number of booths, and number of participating enterprises all exceeding previous levels. It was reported that the total exhibition area of the 139th Canton Fair is 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 75,700 booths, and over 32,000 participating enterprises. Among them, about 3900 companies are making their first appearance. The preparations for the fair are progressing smoothly and are basically ready. Wang Zhihua, Director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced that the number of product zones at this edition of the Canton Fair has increased to 179, with the addition of 9 new zones such as smart wearables, display technology, consumer-grade drones, and integrated housing and courtyard facilities. There are over 11,000 high-quality enterprises with titles like specialist, champion in a specific field etc, representing a 5.1% increase from previous levels. Among them, 61% of the enterprises have applied new technologies and models such as industrial internet, artificial intelligence, 5G, green and low-carbon in their production or services.
