National Immigration Administration: a total of 5.21 million ordinary passports were issued nationwide in the first quarter of this year.

The National Immigration Administration announced today that in the first quarter of 2026, immigration management agencies nationwide continued to promote the facilitation of various entry and exit document applications, continuously improve the efficiency of government services, and fully serve to promote high-level openness and high-quality development. A total of 5.201 million ordinary passports were issued, 26.88 million endorsements for mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan were issued, and 541,000 travel permits for residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan entering and exiting the mainland were issued. In addition, 406,000 foreigner visa documents were issued.
