According to two sources familiar with the arrangements, the Senate Banking Committee in the United States no longer plans to hold a confirmation hearing for Kevin Warsh, the nominee for Federal Reserve chairman, next Thursday. The previously scheduled hearing date depended on Warsh submitting relevant materials to the committee, but as of now, these materials have not been submitted. Today (Thursday in the U.S. Eastern Time) is the latest deadline for the Banking Committee to send out notifications and make arrangements for the hearing next Thursday. Another source indicated that Warsh's team is working hard to submit the necessary materials as soon as possible and is still trying to finalize them today.
