According to data from the US Department of Commerce, consumer spending in the United States showed little growth in February amid persistent inflation. At the same time, the ongoing inflation situation is expected to worsen further due to the war in Iran. Adjusted for inflation, consumer spending increased by 0.1% compared to January. The core PCE index, which excludes food and energy items, rose by 0.4% from January, while the core PCE price index favored by the Federal Reserve recorded an annual rate of 3.0%.
