Qinzhou Port in Beibu Gulf, Guangxi, has completed the acceptance inspection of five river-sea intermodal berths in the port area.
Today, the reporter learned from the Beibu Gulf International Port Group in Guangxi that the construction of the North 1 and 2 berths in the Dalanping South operation area of Qinzhou Port, as well as the 1-3 river-sea intermodal berths and ship handling facility reconstruction project in the Dalanping operation area, has passed the completion acceptance. Following the first batch of 6 berths in Qinzhou Port that were renovated and accepted, this is the second batch of completed berths, marking a new stage in the construction of the river-sea intermodal transport system on the Pinglu Canal. The total length of the shoreline of the 5 berths that passed acceptance this time is 1467.5 meters, with a designed annual throughput capacity of 12.705 million tons, including one 70,000-ton roll-on/roll-off berth, two 50,000-ton multi-purpose berths, and two 70,000-ton general berths. On the basis of the original berths, the renovation focused on optimizing ship handling facilities such as fenders and rubber protection rails, effectively improving the safety and efficiency of ship berthing operations, allowing the 5 berths to fully meet the berthing needs of river vessels of 1,000 tons or more.
