On April 9th, the State Administration for Market Regulation released the results of the national inspection and testing institution capability verification for 2025. The data shows that the overall quality level of inspection and testing institutions in China has been steadily improving. In 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation focused on key areas such as food, consumer goods, industrial product quality and safety, as well as environmental monitoring, and organized the national inspection and testing institution capability verification work. Throughout the year, a total of 1797 capability verification assessments were conducted, with 1704 passing, resulting in a pass rate of 94.8%, which is a 0.7 percentage point increase from 2024. Among them, three items such as "Thermal protection test for lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles" were all qualified. According to incomplete statistics, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, inspection and testing institutions participating in various national capability verification projects have exceeded 10,000 times.
