As of now, there have been 70 REITs projects filed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by institutions, with a total size exceeding 130 billion yuan.

Recently, Taibao Assets - Xinhuanpu Dream City Rental Property Holding Real Estate Asset Support Special Plan was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. This is the first REITs project between private enterprises to guarantee rental housing in the entire market. Since the first inter-institutional REITs was launched in 2023, by the end of March this year, there have been 70 inter-institutional REITs projects declared on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with a declared scale exceeding 130 billion yuan, and 41 projects have been successfully issued with a issuance scale of 73 billion yuan. As for the next steps, the Shanghai Stock Exchange stated that it will organize and build the inter-institutional REITs market ecosystem, further effectively promote project implementation, encourage market entities to explore building asset management platforms, improve relevant mechanisms and supporting rules, and comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the inter-institutional REITs market.
