Airline fuel prices are soaring, and Delta Air Lines will raise checked baggage fees by up to $50.
On April 7th local time, Delta Air Lines announced that they will increase checked baggage fees. The airline stated that the cost for the first and second checked bags will go up by $10, while on domestic and some international flights, the cost for the third checked bag will increase by $50. After the price increase, the total cost for the first checked bag will be $45, the second will be $55, and the third will be $200. In addition, Delta Air Lines mentioned that SkyMiles Medallion members and first class passengers will continue to enjoy some free baggage allowance.
