Gulf countries sound air defense alarm, residents are asked to stay indoors.
In the early morning of April 8th local time, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia issued urgent security alerts. Some of these countries activated their air defense alarms, claiming that their air defense systems were intercepting hostile targets in the sky, and urging residents to remain highly vigilant and stay indoors. The UAE stated that it was responding to missile threats and advised the public to stay in safe locations. Qatar announced a high level of security threat and urged people to stay indoors, subsequently stating that they were intercepting incoming missiles. Kuwait reported intercepting incoming missiles and drones. Bahrain's air defense alarms went off, urging people to seek shelter nearby. Saudi Arabia issued early security alerts for the capital Riyadh and northern border areas.
