Chen Wei, the former Chief Scientist of AI at Ideal Car, and the leader of the foundation model, joined forces with Zhang Xiao, the head of Ideal Car's second product line, to found a new embodied intelligence company called Leaping Intelligence. Chen Wei serves as Chairman and CTO, while Zhang Xiao serves as CEO. The company was founded in February 2026, and the first round of financing is jointly invested by Yuanjing Capital and Ideal Car.
